So, after 5 years we have hosted quiet a number of raffles and as you can imagine we’ve seen a huge variety of prizes.  We wanted to share with you our top raffle prizes that earned the most attention and those that fizzled.  For a bit of fun, we’ve included some of the more unique prizes that RaffleLink has seen over the years and also our list of suggested prizes for 2019 and beyond.

Cash – still the biggest head turner (prohibited in Victoria – sorry)

Travel appeals to a wide audience. Offer a voucher or hone in on a location and holiday style that suits your target audience.

An ever-popular prize with private schools is a school fees raffle.  Some schools conduct a raffle each term.

AFL grand final tickets – who knew AFL could be so popular?

Thermomix – has been popular over the past few years and continue to be a sought after prize.

Alcohol – sad but true. Aussies like a tipple or two.

The perceived value of the prize will differ from person to person and thus is usually not successful due to its subjective nature. Being a niche prize, the target audience is limited.

 

Unique raffle prizes we’ve seen in the past

Who can forget the famous Port Adelaide Signed Retro fridge custom painted in Port Power colours and signed by all the team members?

An ultimate Guide Dog experience including time to play with the puppies, a photoshoot, home office tour and the opportunity to name a puppy + limo transfers from your hotel and meals. Sign me up!

Suggested raffle prize ideas for 2019

Prepared meal delivery services such as Youfoodz, Gourmet Dinner Service – let’s face it, who wouldn’t want a break from the cooking treadmill with lunch and dinners delivered to their home for a month or two?

A reserved car space for a school term (maybe next to the Principal) 😉 Highly sought after, especially where parking is difficult and with no financial outlay.  Win Win!

Mystery flights courtesy of redballoon.com.au  Add to the water cooler conversation by offering a travel prize with a twist.  The winner and their travel partner will be whisked away to one of 13 mystery destinations within Australia including 3 nights accommodation. But where? Destinations include capital cities and major regional hotspots. Don’t worry, the winner will find out 3 days prior whether to pack togs or a jacket.

Anything that saves time is welcome in our busy lives.  Perhaps a weekly home cleaning service or a lawn mowing service for a Summer?
