Online Raffle Success – Chad’s Story

Chad’s Online Raffle Success

Chad was the first individual fundraising for a charity, to use RaffleLink and we can attribute his online raffle success to Chad’s planning & dedication.

With Chad planning to participate in the New York Marathon to fundraise for Cure Cancer Australia, Chad approached RaffleLink to host an online raffle as a sideline fundraiser for CCA.

Cure Cancer Australia act as a front line source to provide vital start-up funding for innovative, ground-breaking research projects across all types of cancer.

Chad’s raffle offered a unique retro fridge that had been custom painted by a local artist in Port Adelaide team colours.  All members of the Port Adelaide football team then signed the fridge.

For someone who knew nothing about AFL, Chad developed quite a niche following for the raffle.   His promotion was run almost entirely through his Facebook Page with some local newspaper stories. Selling just 894 tickets, Chad raised $14,575 in 7 weeks with very little effort.

RaffleLink provided a simple, stress free and very effective way to run our charity Raffle. The owner was very friendly and helpful with the set up process and provided assistance all along the journey. These days with more and more people online and the ability to promote your raffle through popular social media forums such as Facebook and twitter it is very easy to reach a large target audience without much effort compared to that of a traditional style raffle. For anyone looking for a simple and effective way to run a large scale charity raffle I would definitely recommend the online method via RaffleLink. Chad
